It has been 5 days since these little babies were born! They're starting to get fur and are looking super cute!
They're all bundled up in their nest!
I love it when a litter is all different. Some times a litter will be all the same color, but it's fun to get litters where each bunny has different colors/patterns.
Most of the babies have spots. Only 1 looks like it's going to be a solid color. It's a white one.
Only a few more days until their eyes open!
:)
The one to the left has two tiny spots on his back and just a few markings on his face!
This baby has a caramel spot going down it's back. Caramel is a rare color and I'm excited to see what it will look like when it's older! It's too young to check it's gender, but I'm really hoping it will be a girl so I can keep her for future litters!
This baby looks like it's going to be a dark chocolate color, like it's father. This baby is one of the one's being fostered by Bonnie from Sage's litter. His father, Jelly Bean, has a beautiful broken chocolate coat!
This baby looks like it's going to be all white. It's the only baby from all of my litters that is pure white. I'm excited to see if it will have dark eyes or be an albino rabbit!
This baby is broken black/white. I got some stunning coat colors from these litters!
This baby looks a lot like a rabbit we used to have, Leedasha. She had a similar pattern in that around her eyes was spotted and a little bit of her coat was spotted but the majority of her coat was white. Leedasha was a Flemish Giant though, and this little guy is a mini lop!
This little baby is broken grey.
This is Sage. She is the birth mother of 4 of the kits. She has a gorgeous color and I'm hoping that's going to go down in her kits. She had two other litters in the winter but they all froze. This is going to be her last litter and then I'm going to sell her as a pet. Unfortunately she won't be used as a breeder any longer since she's been such a bad mother. I have her brother, Fyedka though, and he sired Athena's litter.
I love Sage's stunning colors, She has a lovely broken cream body with a dark brown nose. She's very sweet and it's a bummer that I can't keep her as a breeder.
Bonnie is such a good foster mom! This is her second litter total and the second time she's fostered! She hasn't lost any babies yet, of her own or that she's fostered.
Thanks for checking out my post!
