Gustava's litter

Gustava gave birth to three very healthy looking kits on Friday! This is her first litter since I've had her, but she's had three litters total.

These pictures were taken the morning after they were born, but when they were first born they were so plump! Their little bellies were full and they looked so content!

The black kit had it's arm around their sibling! So precious!
I can't wait to find out their genders so I can start saying 'he' and 'she' :)

Light colored kit. Has some light markings on the back and head, I'm guessing it's going to be a broken blue tort (hopefully otter), but we'll see when the fur comes in more what color it will be.

This is my first litter of Velveteens, and my first litter dealing with otters, so I'm very excited!

This one appears to be solid black just like Gustava. I love the variation of colors in this litter! I got light, dark, and otter! Much more exciting than getting a litter of all the same colors, but whatever the colors, I'm just happy that they're all healthy and their are no peanuts or worrisome issues!

This kit is black otter. I'm really hoping it's a female so I can rationalize keeping it, I don't need any more males in my rabbitry currently, but I am in love with this color, especially on Velveteens!

I'm super excited to be getting into otters. I always thought it would be really cool to own an otter, and now I do! :)

This little cutie knows how to pose so well! This kit makes my heart melt!

This is the dam, Gustava. She has been insanely sweet since the moment I brought her home! She has let me touch the kits and hasn't seem upset in the slightest, she comes in and see's what I'm doing and then goes back out, she is insanely laid back and such a sweetheart! <3 The rabbit in the back about gave me a heart attack when I took this picture, but luckily she was just sleeping! I've noticed English lops seem to sleep on their sides like that a lot. It's adorable but also terrifying!

This is the sire, Arlo. He came named 'Bee,' but I thought Arlo fit him very well. I got him not knowing he was otter, and the owner didn't know either, and it was even marked on his pedigree that he was just broken black. I was very excited to learn that he was broken black otter and am very glad I got to welcome him to my rabbitry.

Thanks for checking out my posting! Keep an eye out for more pictures and updates on this and other litters. Hopefully sometime in the near future I will have a litter of Pedigreed English lops too!
